Understanding Your Bat
Hero Cricket bats are crafted from English Willow, Kashmir Willow, or Alternative Willow, which are soft fibrous reeds requiring preparation before use. Each bat undergoes pressing to enhance its drive and durability.
Bat Preparation
Proper preparation involves 'knocking in' for at least six hours using a wooden mallet or an old ball. This process enhances durability and improves the bat’s power. Additionally, protect your bat by keeping it covered and stored safely in your cricket bag.
Maintenance Tips
Cricket bats will naturally crack over time due to repeated impacts. To extend its lifespan, consider using fiberglass tape on the edges or an 'Armour Tec' facing, which provides extra protection.
Superficial face and edge marks, indentations, and bruising are normal and do not affect the bat’s performance. Most issues result from natural wear and tear rather than defects.
